Week 5: Evaluating The Barnstormers

The Barnstormers improve to 2-2 after a huge win against the Pittsburgh Power - let's break it down.

Offense: A-

The offense moved the ball efficiently, and found the endzone when it mattered most with a clutch 4th and 6 touchdown pass late in the game. J.J. Raterink left a little to be desired in pass efficiency, only completing 55 percent of his passes. However, the Barnstormers made up for it with a huge game on the ground, with 5 total rushing touchdown. Rodney Filer had a huge game with three touchdowns in 11 carries.

Defense: A

The defense, in a hostile environment, managed to pick off Andrico Hines 4 times. The Power have yet to find a reliable solution at QB this year, and the defense took advantage.

Special Teams: A

Camay still managed to miss one PAT, but he also helped LB John Mohring find the endzone for the second time this season on special teams.

What's Next:

The Barnstormers (2-0 away, 0-2 home), host the red hot 3-1 Arizona Rattlers in Des Moines, whose only loss is to the equally hot San Jose Sabercats.
